Château Margaux 1946 has always been a wine of modest quality. At over 70 years of age, it is finally beginning to gain in complexity with a pleasant nose, but still retains a very lively acidity. Will it ever soften? (October 2019)
In spite of a few very hot days in the summer, the conditions for ripening were quite poor, and the grapes did not ripen well.
The picking began 1st October.
