Nose

A very open nose of white fruit (pear, apple) and floral aromas.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is fresh and luscious in the attack, offering beautiful balance. One can pick out crystallised orange and apricot jam notes, accompanied by subtle smoky touches.

Growing Conditions

The winter was one of the coldest and driest in the past twenty years. In April, the vines began to bud in wonderful summer sunshine, followed by heavy rainfall in May and June that oversaw a remarkable flowering period. Next, a dry and sunny summer supplemented by cold nights for the time of year helped the grapes to ripen well. These persistent dry conditions ensured that the grapes were in perfect health and fully ripe.
