Nose

The nose is expressive, marked by notes of ripe black fruits.

Palate

The attack in mouth is silky, evolving towards a beautiful frame with present and crunchy tannins. The finish is quite long and marked by notes of cherry pit.

Growing Conditions

It is through ploughing and manual work (pruning, leaf removal) that we obtain a healthy and resistant plant. The vines are surrounded by a double wild hedge, fruit trees and melliferous flowers, to recreate a balance naturally favorable to prevention.

Harvest

The harvest was done manually, at perfect maturity.

Bottling

The wine is bottled at the Château.

Winemaking

The yield is voluntarily controlled: 30 hl/ha
The realization of feet of tanks, allows the fermentation by the yeasts naturally present on the grape.

Aging

It is a wine for keeping: about 10 years.

Appearance

The 2016 vintage has a deep, cherry red color.

Food Pairing

It will go particularly well with roasted beef or duck.
