Nose
he wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is aromatic, fragrant, and floral, initially expressing notes of roasted herbs, dried mint, peony, rose, and cornflower, along with juicy, ripe fruits (wild strawberry, juicy raspberry, Morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, crushed blackcurrant, crushed blueberry), sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, clove, ground cumin, and toasted vanilla in the background), as well as a touch of chocolate-covered almond, dark chocolate, toasted oak, and coffee, combined with a hint of chocolate-covered Morello cherry.
Palate
The palate offers density, with a slight vinous touch of kirsch-soaked Morello cherry and Armagnac-soaked prunes on the attack, which add substance and body. The wine then reveals notes of wild blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, as well as cocoa, coffee, toasted oak, mint chocolate, and toasted almond. It has a lovely roundness on the palate, with fine yet powerful tannins that are cocoa-like and slightly dry. A refreshing acidity and an ethereal quality of fresh flowers (peony, lilac) balance the richness of the flavors. The finish is flavorful, with a firm texture, long, and chocolatey. A powerful, full-bodied, well-structuredbb, and refined wine.
