Growing Conditions

2017 was an early vintage, with a budburst at the end of March following a winter that was considerably less wet than the previous year. The beginning of the growth cycle was marked by frost over the Bordeaux vineyards, especially early in the morning of 27th April.
The flowering was quick and regular. The second half of June brought first high temperatures (35 to 38°C) and then a spell of heavy rain (70 mm) during the bunch closing, compensating for the lack of water. The very quick and even colour change was observed in the last few days of July and early August. These two months were sunny and temperate, punctuated by a few light showers that were favourable for the quick development of the grapes. Despite the rain of early September, the work carried out in the vineyard allowed the grapes to reach complete maturity

Harvest

12th September to 29th September 2017

Winemaking

In this 2017 vintage, the Merlots on the part of the Pomerol plateau that is mainly clayey offer unctuosity and structure, whereas the Merlots on the gravelly-sandy terroirs bring the finesse and roundness. As for the Cabernet Francs, they are once again decisive on these same great terroirs, bringing a
pleasant balance to the first wine blend, marrying power, elegance and complexity.

Appearance

Very attractive red.
