Nose

Agorgeous nose of ripe blackberry and blueberry fruits interwoven with lots of classic tobacco, damp earth, chocolate, and cedar pencil nuances.

Palate

Ripe yet also fresh and lively on the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, has beautiful tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish.

Growing Conditions

While the winter was mild and dry, spring was cold with a recurrent threat of frost. The very hot summer, which caused significant water stress in places, however, was marked by a beneficial alternation of hot days and cool nights and a few rainy episodes. This is a vintage of "terroir", for which we favoured a very thorough intra-parcel approach right up to the harvest. The grand vin of the Chateau Nénin boasts a magnificent balance, freshness and width.
