Nose

Refined and generous, with wild berries, vanilla and liquorice. On the second nose, the redcurrant and blackberry notes take on hints of confit orange zest.

Palate

A full-bodied, balanced attack. Ripe, elegant, and generous fruit notes (plum, Morello cherry). A long finish with toasted notes.

Growing Conditions

- Production Area: Saint-Exupéry - Les Esseintes, 12 hectares in production, 12 hectares in plantation
- Type of soil: Clay-silt limestone

Winemaking

Traditional Bordeaux winemaking.
Alcoholic fermentation, maceration, pumped over twice daily. Minimum 15 days' vatting at a controlled temperature.
Traditional maturing on the fine lees.

Bright, intense purple

Château La Fréneraie 2015 is both generous and elegant. It will go perfectly with traditional dishes such as pigeon or rabbit stew.
