I joined the family estate in 2000 and started being the farm manager in 2007. In the 80’s, the activities had grown faster with the animals breeding and the mixed farming. Helped by my mother until 2016, the farm activites have changed a lot through years but I’ve always been engaged in envrionmental issues. I think that the fauna has a fundamental role in the pest struggle. This is why I set up alternative practising in 2008 and the farm gradually became Organic Farming certified. Today, I go further in the natural approach and try a new way of cultivation for my vineyard. I sowed plants between the rows in order to improve the structure and the soil composition and I set up bats boxes on the property. I also plan to install tit birdhouses. The Château La Pilar exists since the 90’s and gathers several selected plots on the locality « La Pilar ». We live in the middle of the vineyards with my wife and my two children in a barn which was restored in a ecological way. Pierre POITVEIN

Near Sauveterre de Guyenne, the château Pombrède has been in the same family since four generations. The owner, Rémi Garuz, would like to farm old vines planted by his grandfather in 1920.

White

Château Chaubinet, located close to the town of Espiet, has been in the Fossat family for several generations. Espiet was until quite recently an industrial town, with a cement works. The area has a rich history, notably with two mills dating from the 14th century. Today brothers Pierre and Jean-Michel Fossat are in charge of the estate.

With our white Bordeaux Grain de Lune explore Sauvignon Gris, an exclusive, refined and authentic grape variety. Resulting from a very ancient mutation of Sauvignon, the uniqueness of Sauvignon Gris is found in particular in the colour of its berries small size. Grey or pink, the skin of the grape gives its unique colour to the wine, that of the moon on a clear night.

For centuries the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux has been crossed by pilgrims on the Way of Saint James. Here they chanced on medieval fortified towns and 12th century missions such as those of Créon, Monségur, Sauveterre-de-Guyenne or Saint-Vincent de Pertignas, which has taken the name of the patron saint of winegrowers, Saint-Vincent. There has been a vineyard at Monplaisir for a very long time. The oldest written records date from the 18th century. The estate was bought by the grandfather of André Gouache in 1952 and the reins have now been handed over to the young oenologist Céline Wlostowicer. The vineyard is located between the Dordogne and the Garonne, and their numerous tributaries result in an undulating landscape made up of clay and silt soils.

Château Moulin de Lagut has been in the Bergerie family for three generations. Purchased in 1968, the property only included 4 hectares of uncultivated vines. The vineyard was restored and extended through successive purchases until reaching its current size of 24 hectares, planted on a well-exposed gravel-clay slope, facing Saint Emilion. Thierry Bergerie has taken over from his father, and manages his vineyard with respect for the principles of integrated farming.

Château Grandchemin Monplaisir is the estate of Producta Vignobles. 7ha of vines, of which 4ha are old vines of 40 years of age, are spread out over different soil types with clay, gravel and limestone. This soil diversity gives the wine all its subtlety of taste. The name is derived from the two hamlets, Monplaisir and Grand Chemin, in which most of the vineyards of the estate are planted.

Producta Vignobles of Bordeaux and Crackerjack Wines of Western Australia began an informal partnership in 2018. Our goal is to combine the strengths and innovations of French and Australian winemaking to create exciting new choices for consumers around the world.

In Château Moulinat, there is a story of family, but most of all, a story of women. My great grand-mother, her daughter, and then my mother transmitted me the love of the vine. A very feminine filiation that lasts since the XIXth century, as demonstrated by a stone of the house dated from 1840. The name comes from the nickname of the miller which recalled his functions : “moulinat”. Today, I work with my husband, and we doubled the surface of our vines reaching now 25 ha.
