A brief history
Château du Moulin Rouge is located in the commune of Cussac-Fort-Médoc (Gironde). It has belonged to our family for 13 generations and is now a well-reputed Cru Bourgeois Superieur in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Sandwiched between the famous Margaux and Saint Julien appellations, the château benefits from an outstanding terroir. The vines stretch over 27 hectares of beautiful gravelly rises with plenty of sunshine and a microclimate influenced by close proximity of the Gironde estuary. At the present time, two generations – parents and their children – add their personal contributions, ideas and expertise to perpetuate the family heritage.
