Nose
hâteau de MYRAT 2013 reveals the precision of his harvest by its brilliant style, with fruit both very aromatic and elegant. Exotic and floral on the nose.
Palate
A mouth full of finesse with notes of mango and dried apricots; and an extremely long final on lemony flavors that characterize the vintage.
Growing Conditions
Limonestone-clay on fissured limonestone bedrock. Natural drainage.
Harvest
Uniquely hand-picking, by successive selections throughout the vineyard, picking only botrytised grapes. A superb first picking, a very precise selection this year when rainfall events have marked the harvests.
Winemaking
Slow pressing. Barrel fermentation. Separation of each day’s harvest or batch.
Aging
22 months in french oak barrels (1/3 new each year).
Food Pairing
Spicy tapas, shrimps, goose liver, chicken curry, veal, cheeses : blue cheese, stilton, old Comté. Apple or pear tart, fruity dessert (mango, peaches, red fruits...).
