The refined, elegant and rather radiant nose reveals scents of black fruit and kirsch cherry. Gently toasted and aniseed aromas emerge with airing mangled with delicate forest-floor notes.
The packed and succulent palate elegantly express complex liquorice and peppery notes together with jammy fruit, all underpinned by firm and abundant tannins. Well-structured and beautifully balanced, it reflects the charm and depth of this very fine vintage, leading into a long and warm finish underpin by cedar wood and bitter chocolate flavours.
The wine has a dense and deep colour with a crimson tint.
