After a cool, wet spring, summer kicked off superbly, but storms at the end of August clouded the mood. Dry weather returned before the harvest allowing growers to rest easy. 2008 was set to be a year with a late harvest, enabling the grapes to ripen to their full potential.
The vintage revealed itself that year after twelve months’ ageing in oak barrels.
