Right next to where were the villa and thermal baths of the Gallo-Roman poet Ausone, in Loupiac, the Domaine de Giron, which is said to have been planted with vines since this period, occupies a limestone plateau covered with Garonne alluvium. The red wines are subtle, fruity with the necessary acidity for wines for ageing. Ideal with a grilled prime rib, it will also pair perfectly with cheese or a plate of cold cuts.

The perfect maturity which is trying to reach helps producing an well balanced fruity Loupiac. Ideal as an aperitif, on grilled chicken or duck, and appreciated with Roquefort, this wine can be kept long.
