Nose

Fruity and fleshy on the nose.

Palate

Soft and broad across the palate with juicy fruit and light but fine structure. Less intensity than the other wines in the Delon stable but harmonious and relatively approachable.

Growing Conditions

On the terroir further West, in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, the end of winter was relatively mild, followed by a cool spring. Summer conditions were dry and hot without too much excess. On a more homogenous soil, rich in clay over a whole area, the vines benefited from good hydric stress relayed by good thermal amplitudes before the harvest, for optimal ripening and maintained acidity.

Winemaking

The Petite Marquise, built on splendid merlot and youthful cabernets offers lusciousness and freshness, in the purest Saint-Julien style.
