Wines from the vineyard are harmonious, generous and charming. Thanks to the terroir, subtle delicateness and power are perfectly mixing. This wine is richly structured, with fine tannins from both the fruit and wood aging. The wine's power is mitigated by juicy black-currant flavors and the great ripeness.

Growing Conditions

Between Margaux and Saint-Julien, on the highest ridge of the AOC MOULIS, Châteaux Lalaudey and Pomeys have established facilities combining tradition and modernity in order to offer the best of their terroir.

Terroir: Bouqueyran Hill, tertiary gravels (Pyrenean gravel).

Harvest

Manual harvest at the best of maturity. Selection in the vineyard and after destalking.

Winemaking

No crushing, maceration prior to fermentation, mixing and
racking. Long fermentation of skins.

Aging

100 % high quality French oak barrels
5 different coopers
50 % in new barrels and 50 % in one wine barrels
14 to 18 months of ageing
Light filtration before bottling
