Château Nézereau, or « Nézereau », is our 2nd estate-grown wine, named after the river that has defined its warm terroir of light sand and gravel soil. With minimal intervention in the field and the cellar, Nézereau represents the new generation of Bordeaux wines: aromatic, fruity and approachable. Ideal now, but can keep longer.

"Les Prés de Gauthier" reveals a ruby color with purple reflections. The nose is frank on black fruits, notably cherry and blueberry. The mouth is fresh, fruity, the tannins are ample and the finish persistent.

Our 1st estate grown wine, Château Gauthier, was established in 1919 in Civrac-de-Blaye, north of Bordeaux. Settled on a hilly terroir of light sandy soil, it was classified as a ‘1st growth’ Bordeaux in 1946 by Féret. Our family heritage wine is a subtle and elegantly balanced Merlot and Cabernets blend, aged for a minimum of 12 months in old French oak barrels. A classic yet non-stereotypical Bordeaux red.
