Nose
Notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) and roasted coffee and spices (cinnamon, pepper).
As it ages, it offers aromas of undergrowth , leather, wild strawberry.
Palate
The oak is fully present but fully integrated into the palate allowing the fruit to express itself fully. A well balanced wine, powerful and velvety with a lengthy finish. A powerful and delicious mouthfeel with a beautiful tannic structure.
Growing Conditions
Chalky try on the plateau, clay and limestone on hills on medium and finally deep clay on the bottom of the hillsides.
The wines of the AOC Montagne Saint-Émilion are great, rich and powerful wines for aging. It is the heart of our production with nearly 32ha exploited.
Winemaking
We favor aging in barrels for 2 of our vintages from this terroir in order to provide a more complex structure and aromas.
Fermented in stainless steel tank and then aged for 1 year, before being transferred to neutral oak for further aging.
Aging
Aged in oak barrels for 12 months in 50% new French oak, before being transferred to neutral oak for further aging.
Appearance
Bright and intense in color.
