Château Des Cabans

A brief history

The origins of the property date back to 1908 when Jean-Daniel Bérard, the great grandfather of Philippe, came to Bégadan. The property has been in the family for 5 generations. In 1990, Philippe Bérard received several different awards, showing that the vineyard were a successful investment.

Today, the vineyards stretch up to 40 hectares and is situated in the heart of Médoc, near a small town called Bégadan. This small town follows a long standing tradition and culture in wine.

Since 1605, the Bérard family has been established on the coast. These roots have allowed the family to choose superior territories in the area. The cultivated "Grape varieties" consist of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.
