Nose

A lot of fruits and freshness in the bouquet, although well inspired by the terroir. Mineral and chalky notes followed by black and spicy berry scents.

Palate

In mouth the wine is juicy and refreshing. The perfectly integrated tannins together with the strong structure offer a well bodied and powerful wine. Beautiful aromatic expression from the beginning until the finish. A really fresh and inviting wine.

Growing Conditions

Clayey and chalky. South exposure for 12 ha, SW exposure for 7 ha. Ploughing of the soil, controlled deliberate grass growth. 2 cluster thinning (one at the closure of the grape cluster and one at the beginning of the version). Leaves are thinned out at sun rising when flower buds appear.

Harvest

From October 1st to 6th for Merlot. October 8th for Cabernet Franc. October 12th for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bottling

February 24th to 28th, 2020

Winemaking

Double string of the crop: in the vineyard and at the winery. Punching of the caps every 3 hours until 1070 density, then every 6 hours until 1050 density and once a day until 100 density. Temperature during alcoholic fermentation 27 degrees Celsius max. Vatting period: 20 to 27 days.

Aging

Maturing on lees until spring 2019. Aging 50% in tanks and 50% in barrels of 225 and 500 litres.

Appearance

Deep purple color.
