Nose

The wine is fruity with a nice sweetness sensation. After stirring, we find toasty and smoky aromas with roasted hints, and a wide range of fruity aromas.

Palate

The attack is straight, the wine is supple and silky, and has a high aromatic persistence.

Growing Conditions

Château Berreyre is located in Macau-en-Médoc, bordering Margaux appellation. The vineyard spreads over 13 hectares, with a plantation density of 5 000 stocks/hectare, on a «Palus» soil (clay and sand).

Harvest

Harvests are made with machines as well as by hand, depending on the plot.

Winemaking

The grapes are sorting by hand. Total destining and a must fermentation in thermo-regulated vats. 3 pumping-overs per day and 1 to 3 ratings depending on he wine tasting session.

Aging

70% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels (20% new) and 30% is aged in concrete and thermo-regulated stainless steel vats during 12 months.

Appearance

Intense red color.

Roasted chicken, cheese, red meat.
