A brief history

Haverlan’s vineyards are a familial collection of estates in the prestigious Graves and Pessac-Léognan appellations.
Le Vieux Château Gaubert is the master piece, the identity of the activity, Dominique rebuilt it for 30 years on his own for the revival of this treasure. Today with Romain, father and son, are constantly working to preserve the biodiversity of our vineyards's environment. Our bottles are filled in by the spirit of the land and familial traditions.

Our wide range of wines, white and red, for every taste is made possible due to the strong and qualitative plot diversity of our vines. The whites, primarily made from Sauvignon and Semillon, are fresh and aromatic or elegant and powerful depending on how they are made. Reds are dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and their production processes are tailored to each terroir in order to respect the grapes that prosper in these Graves soils.
Here, we make great wines from Graves and Pessac Léognan

Le Benjamin is the second wine of Vieux Château Gaubert. Worked on the same plots as its big brother, this one results from a will to refresh the sensory approach with a fresh gourmet and fruity wine: a pleasure wine ! This Graves terroir gradually redistributes the heat to the grapes, thus contributing to a better maturation of the grapes.

Dominique Haverlan has rebuilt an entire estate and replanted vines with his own hands on more than 25 hectares. The story is beautiful even if the construction was pharaonic. In summer, the thin and dry soils of the gravelly terroir force the vines to give their best. The result, vintage after vintage, is magnificent. A beautiful pale yellow color, a dense and complex nose with notes of citrus and white flowers. On the palate the aromas of menthol and basil seduce. It is a charming wine with a lot of volume and balance. Slightly toasted, this gourmet wine goes very well with grilled fish.

In summer, the thin and dry soils of the gravelly terroir force the vines to give their best. The result, vintage after vintage, is magnificent. This wine reflects a work that favours the full-bodied depth of red wines through a vinification that seeks extraction and through flattering maturation. A dense ruby colour. An elegant nose with aromas of black fruit and fine wood. Ample and fleshy attack, beautiful balance where finesse, complexity, richness and unctuousness are combined.
