Nose
Fabulous aromas of blackberries, blueberries, cinnamon, and perfume. Intense and complex on the bouquet, redolent of ripe, fresh black berry fruits, combined to perfection with spicy notes.
Palate
Full-bodied, tight and explosive. Pulls back on the palate and then releases. A wine with complexity, depth and excitement. A blend of best wines from Belgrave, La Garde, Le Boscq and Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac.
Very smooth and full-flavoured on the palate from the outset, the aromas evolve swiftly, gaining remarkable breadth and intensity. Impressively full-bodied, concentrated and silky, the lengthy structure, enveloped in lingering aromas of black cherry and blackcurrant, together with delicate notes of sweet spice, extends all the more to culminate in a finish of rare distinction and length. A very great wine with exceptional balance, finesse and length.
Growing Conditions
From time to time a vintage comes along that makes you really smile. 2015 seems set to be one of these ! In 2015, Nature was a definite ally. Successful flowering got us off to a great start. Very dry weather at the start of summer may at times have been some cause for concern, but from early August, kind, indeed weather in our favour, promoted perfect ripening in the grapes and delivered excellent quality.
Harvest
Harvesting and vinifications ran smoothly, calmly and pressure-free, and there is absolutely no doubt that our cellars harbour a number of gems…
Appearance
Incredibly deep and concentrated in appearance and tinged with crimson.
