Nose
The first nose is profound and intense, bringing notes of black fruit on a background of cocoa beans. Gently agitating the wine fully reveals the complexity of the fruit, reminiscent of blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry liqueurs.
Palate
The attack is full-bodied and opulent on the palate, fresh yet with lots of substance. A soupçon of vanilla on the baseline brings to evidence a certain oakiness that is totally at the service of the wine. Notes of pear sorbet and grilled almonds from time to time punctuate the generous body of ripe fruit.
