Clos de l'Oratoire

A brief history

Le Clos de l'Oratoire, located on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Emilion, covers an area of some 13 hectares. Its terroir of molasse de Fronsac, composed of a sandy sub-layer and a clay subsoil, is particularly suitable for Merlot, which is 80% present in the grape variety.

Meticulous work is carried out throughout the seasons, in order to preserve all the qualities of this vineyard.

The vinification takes place only in thermoregulated wooden vats. Noble, lively material, wood is in perfect harmony with the wine, offering it the possibility of developing all its potential in color and flavor.

Each vat is treated according to its characteristics, on the basis of low temperatures, with very slow punching down work ... all this with constant respect for the raw material.
