Château Muret

A brief history

In the Haut-Médoc appellation, as an extension of the prestigious municipality of Saint-Estèphe, it is in Saint-Seurin de Cadourne that the Château Muret belonging to the Boufflerd family has been located since 1985.

Listed in the 1850 edition of Charles Cock's Guide, the property was one of the most important in the municipality, with about a hundred hectares of vineyards, woods and meadows. It had since become wastelands and ruins. The current owners have therefore cleared, built and replanted at all.

The 27-year-old vineyard is planted at 6666 feet/ha on 25 hectares. It is located on an clay-limestone plateau overlooking the Gallo-Roman site of Brion. The grape varieties consists of 60% Merlot Noir and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
