A brief history

This elegant 10th century castle offers terraces with an exceptional panoramic view of the Loire River below. Founded by Benedictine monks as a prayer location during the Renaissance era, the castle was later modified by the Count of Castellane in the 20th century.

An underground cellar housing 25,000 bottles and a plush bar surrounded by glass windows overlooking the Loire are guests' favorite areas to unwind with a cocktail. With Gastronomic French Restaurant, Castellane and a 60-acre wooded park, this 4-star Hotel offers the perfect luxury destination just a short drive from major tourist locations Saumur, Angers, and Tours.
