This certification of our winery is the result of our efforts made over several years to progress towards sustainable agriculture, respectful of the environment in accordance with the nature that surrounds us.
Winemaking
To obtain a good balance between the wine's powerful, full-bodied side and the understated oak that contributes to a round, smooth aftertaste.
Merlot: (60%) This grape blends beautiful with the clay soil to produce round, rich, heady wines with soft, attractive tannins.
Cabernet Sauvignon: (30%) This variety thrives in hot gravely soil. It has tannin that is harder than the Merlot and makes it possible for the wine to improve with age.
Cabernet Franc: (10%) This Cabernet contributes fineness and fruitiness (Raspberries, violets, blackcurrants). It is best suited in limestone soil, and its roots go deep into Château Lamothe’s friable sub-soil .
Aging
Ageing in French oak barrels for 12 months in underground cellars (30% new barrels and 70% used for 1 or 2 previous vintages)
Appearance
Very deep, beautiful color.
Food Pairing
