The palate is fruity, gourmand, well - balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy blackberry, small notes of cornflower, lily associated with touches of pulpy raspberry, small red berries as well as fine hints of rose, zan, mild tobacco and nutmeg/spices. Good length.
Vineyard : Surface : 1,5 ha : 100 % Merlot. Density of plantation : 6666 plants/ha. Average age of the vineyard : 36. Soil is gravely and sandy. Cultural methods : Ploughing of the soil. Yield control by two cluster thinnings (one at the closure of the grape cluster and one at the beginning of veraison).

Double sorting of the crop : first in the vineyard and second at the winery. Filling of the vats by gravity without crushing. Punching of the caps every 3 hours until 1070 of density, every 8 hours until 1040, then one pumping over a day till the end of the alcoholic fermentation and maceration. Temperature during alcoholic fermentations : 27/29° C. Vatting period : 26 days. Malolactic fermentation in barrels finished in December 2018.
Cooper : Darnajou : 100 %, 1/3 of new barrels among them. Maturing on lees during 6 months, stirring of the merlot lees.
