A brief history

Its favorably-exposed hills combined with the quality of its 8ha of soils on deep limestone (that gives all its power to the wine) together with gravels on the surface in the southern part of the estate are the main characteristics of the vineyard and contribute to give Château La Croix Lartigue all the arguments to be one of the shining stars of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.

Maison Kavaklidere was well-advised when they purchased it in 2016 from Stéphane Derenoncourt and his associates Simon Blanchard and Julien Lavenu who had been the tenant farmers until then.

With an average age of 40 years +, the vineyard, kept in very good condition, is planted at a density of 6 600 vines/ha with 82% merlot and 18% cabernet franc.

Thanks to the expertise of the Derenoncourt Consultants team, the objective is to continue producing wines that reveal the energy and the minerality of the terroir and make Château La Croix Lartigue one of the unquestionable must-haves of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.
