Château Cantelauze

A brief history

An experienced wine grower, oenologist and wine taster, Jean-Noël Boidron is also attached to his country and its tradition. This is probably the reason why he called his vineyard of Pomerol “Cantelauze”. This name shall remind people of the larks singing in the woods, fields and vineyards, during the early hours of the day.
Constituted in 1989 through the assembling of small parts of other vineyards, Château Cantelauze produces wines of high personnality. Soil, traditional farming, low yield, manual harvest, careful vinification, long maceration, ageing in new oak wood casks (100 %) for 18 months are the basis to this interesting vintage.
