Palate
A bouquet of well-ripened red and black fruit invites us to sample the
intense, harmonious palate. Very silky tannins accompanied by fruit
bursting with freshness and concentration
Growing Conditions
Terroir and Blend: The three hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon (56%) and Merlot (44%) used to craft Brin de Brillette flourish on a gravelly knoll at Chateau Brillette where winegrowing conditions are optimal. They are cultivated according to traditional methods that reduce the use of foreign substances to a minimum and respect indigenous flora and fauna.
Yield: 34 hectoliter / hectare
Winemaking
Winemaking: The grapes used in Brin de Brillette undergo gentle fermentation according to traditional methods to respect their inherent qualities; they are vatted for twelve days to extract the choicest phenolic compounds and other aromatic elements to optimize complexity on the palate.
Aging
Brin de Brillette is aged for six months in one-year-old barrels to foster a light transfer of oxygen. It completes its aging process in vats and is fined using potato starch.
