Château Barrail du Blanc produces wines that are exceptional for their depth and consistency. Owned by the same family for over 150 years, this property is located in the commune of Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, in the south of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

The vineyard, which is on average 25 years old, is planted on gravel and clay soils that allow good drainage and are particularly well suited to Cabernet Franc. The grapes are handled with great care by Monsieur Elliès and his daughter Nathalie in the vineyard and in the cellar. Ploughing, green harvesting and foliage work are favoured to ensure the fruit ripens evenly. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks and partially aged in French oak barrels, half of which are new wood.

The resulting wine is charming, smooth, elegant and can be aged for five to ten years. It is typical of the region and reflects the du Blancs' family tradition, who have known since the beginning about the quality of their soils and sites and make valuable use of them.
