Bertrand RavacheLéo de la GaffliéreSince 1705, the Malet Roquefort family has been present at the famous Château La Gaffelière, a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé.
Heir to the estate in 1958, Count Léo de Malet Roquefort has incessantly striven to bring to light all its potential. Now, the adventure is being carried on as a family. In 1999, during a passionate discussion about wine and the terroir they are so attached to, Léo de Malet Roquefort and his son Alexandre expressed a shared aspiration: passing on and sharing their love for the Bordeaux vineyards, and more specifically for the Saint-Émilion vineyards, through a product within all wine lovers’ reach. The choice of a name was self-evident: Léo de la Gaffelière. The first Saint-Émilion brand wine came into being.
