Château Peyreau

A brief history

Château Peyreau, contiguous to Clos de l'Oratoire, is located on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Emilion. On this terroir, Merlot is king.

The castle, built in 1860, is located in a preserved environment, surrounded by centuries-old trees of multiple species.

Like the other domains, the vineyard benefits from the same approach. The harvest, carried out by hand, also receives all the attention.

The fermentation, which takes place slowly, as well as a prolonged maceration, make it possible to highlight the capital specific to the vintage and the intrinsic quality of the terroir.

The aging continues this reasoning, the wines of Château Peyreau stay between 12 and 18 months in barrels of “one and two wines”.
