Château Cap Léon Veyrin

A brief history

The Château Cap Léon Veyrin has been family-owned since 1810 when the Château Cap Léon and the Veyrin estates were joined. The word ‘Cap’ originally meant ‘head’. The vineyard of Cap Veyrin actually thrones on the higher land of Listrac Médoc, and thus boasts ideal natural drainage and sun exposure.

Nathalie and Julien Meyre are the 6th generation of this Médoc family of winegrowers to manage the property. The family traditions are perpetuated with care : predominance of Merlot, fining with egg white, ageing for 12 months in barrels, hand-picking for the harvest of the youngest and oldest vines. Nathalie and Julien now bring their own new experience and dynamic to this well-known Cru Bourgeois of the Médoc.
